We all set out to get the weight off, not temporarily, but for the rest of our lives. So now is the time to face the old you, and slide right on passed her! She's wearing last year's clothes anyway! Haha!

Bring Fitness On Vacay With You

I have a handful of clients that travel for work quite often, and a main concern they have is maintaining their workout and nutrition routines while being away. Well here are some quick and great soloutions to those struggles:
1. If the hotel you stay at has a pool or gym... USE IT! Nothing makes you feel more energetic and confident than a quality workout! If there is no pool or gym to be found, use your body! Try varying some circuit exercises such as: jumping jacks to raise the heart rate, body squats, lunges, sumo squats, calf raises, etc. This may prove to be more fun than you thought!
2. Remember, you are what you eat. If you eat junky, you'll feel junky. Not being home is no excuse to put trash in your mouth! It is way too simple to eat cleanly on the go. Supplement a burger joint with a protein bar and fruit. This is more filling, tastes better and keeps your energy up longer! Plus, you won't feel bloated, if by chance you have a board meeting in your bikini by the pool, you'll thank me later!
3. Hide the remote! If you are staying in a hotel, chances are you are not in the city to which you reside... correct? Well, when your schedule permits, get out of that room! Take in the local charm, food, activities, and scenery!
4. After your initial lugging of the luggage to the room, take the stairs everytime you need to go somewhere. Trust me, you'll feel a difference with just that little bit more effort.
5. Remember, when all else fails, take your fit lilttle butt and do some shopping! Instead of moping around, go try on that dress you've been dying to fit in! It'll be a great way for you to get out of the hotel and motivate yourself towards your results!
Hope this provides some assistance and motivation for the traveling Fit 'N Fab in you!
